What is CYindex?
A single number out of 100 that shows how secure your company actually is. CYindex assesses your tools, controls, certifications and operating evidence against its security framework, calculates the score, and verifies the result - so the number is measured independently rather than claimed by you.
Do I need to use any particular product?
No. CYindex is a completely independent service. You do not need to buy, trial or use any particular product to be assessed, to receive a score, or to keep one. CYindex is the assessor - it runs the assessment and verifies the result, the way an auditor's name appears on an audit.
We're secured entirely by third-party tools. Can we still be scored?
Yes, and it makes no difference to how you are assessed. Whatever you are secured with - one vendor, several, your own in-house setup, or any mix - is measured against exactly the same framework. The score reflects your security, not your choice of supplier.
Do I need to replace my current tools?
No. The assessment starts from what you already run - your existing tools, controls and certifications all count. If gaps remain, you see them and the plan to close them, and you are free to act on that plan with whoever you like.
Is CYindex a paid service?
Yes. The fee covers the assessment, the verification and the findings report behind the number. It does not buy you a score: whatever the assessment measures is what you get. For a limited time the price has come down from $100 to $15, a saving of 85%.
Who sees the detailed findings?
Only you. The score is the shareable part; the findings behind it stay private, and you decide whether a reviewer gets to go deeper.
